    If anyone has a suggestion for a shop or individual that does good work cerakoting rifles in the Dallas fort worth area, I'd like to hear what you have to say. I am looking to have the barrel and bolt of my bolt action rifle cerakoted.

    I have no dog in this fight, but if you are trying to deal hunt I'd start with refining your criteria. Look for: 1) Older posts (for example page 30 is the start of week old posts) 2) Posts with low replies. 3) Once you find an item you like, offer what you think is fair see if they take it...

    Versatile hunting dog?

    I too was a lab guy, but I have switched to the American Brittany. This dog can do it all, loves to swim, great for upland birds, not sure about blood trailing. He's even surprisingly gentle with my kid. Good luck in whatever you choose!

    My vote is a carpet hooked razor for gutting and a Havalon for everything else. Just don't cut yourself, they are SHARP.

    I have purchased the parts to switch my 30-06 Remington 700 ADL to a BDL (hinged floor plate). But haven't settled on a stock. I would appreciate yall's suggestions and what you like and dislike if you are running an after market 700 BDL stock.

    Quail Hunting?

    This is a fact, even having one pointing dog makes the experience 100 times better. Also here's my suggestion for ways to cook them. https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1018529-coq-au-vin but quail instead of chicken, it works even if your birds come out of the field alittle torn up.
