    243 58 gr V Max

Finally got out to test this load and it's pretty fur friendly surprisingly. Shot this male at 108 yds couldn't see entrance or exit. Sure one heck of a whop, dropped it immediately. Tried the 87 gr vmax last year and it ripped the coyote to shreds. First call in for the new banshee, and my...

    No bone left behind??

I covered a lot of ground chasing elk this year. During all the hiking and even while carrying out a elk hind quarter, I found myself crawling under a cedar tree to pick up a shed. I just can't seem to leave them behind. Definitely added quite a few lbs to my pack on the way out. I've always...

    DIY Mt Warrior side pockets

I decided to make some tall side pockets to fit the pals webbing on the sides of the bag. Held them in place with 6" condor mod straps, they seem to fit nice and tight without any flapping around. I can run the two side straps over or under the pockets depending how much I want to compress them...

    Mysteryfaru

I bought a damaged mystery ranch crew cab bag off of eBay last year. Lucky it was cheap because it had carried a car battery that leaked acid on it I think. The two side pockets had light green blotches on them and the back of the bag itself and the load shelf basically disintegrated when I...

Pedestal mounts, the good or bad?

Just curious if anybody has some input on elk pedestal mounts, I keep coming back to a design I really like. I don't have huge vaulted ceilings so I keep thinking I like this design because it won't be 15' in the air. This is just a pic I found on the web. Feedback appreciated from those who...

    2016 One Wild Ride

This year started with great expectations this guy was on my camera when I check them at the end of August Just what every hunter wants to see. A summer of no rain since May has left the countryside parched, my plan was to hunt water. Problem was no elk or big bucks were on my cams on any water...

    Project viper pack

Started this awhile ago and finally got it done. A 2,000 cu in pack that fit the hunter frame. All the provisions for 3 liter bladder pocket, chamber pocket, grab it, expanded meat shelf, gun bearer, and lid. It's a roll top center zip with outer tabs for belt pouches. Just need to get it out...

    Charlie Bone Christmas Tree

Finally got around to getting my bone tree done. Not as fancy as the $3,000 Jackson hole trees, but everybody here likes it!

    Fusion and multicam

Just a comparison of the two together. Color vision, the two don't go to well together. Black and white vision fusion probably breaks up the outline a bit better. I usually like mixing camo just to break up my outline more. The fusion has a lot more purple than I thought it would. But in black...

    Grab it hybrid

Kind of excited about this one. I had some material left over from my cargo panel so I made a grab it style panel that will accept belt pouches and also side compression straps if needed.

    Euro skulls

I just boil my skulls for around five hours or so. I add some laundry soap when it starts to boil good, helps strip some fat off and to whiten the skull up. Then I take a pressure washer to blow out the the the meat and nasal passages. Yea face shield needed, but doesn't cost anything and don't...

    DIY Load Panel

Can tell I've been bored waiting for coyotes to prime up, so I spent some time sewing up this panel. Now I need to put it to good use[emoji848]

    Kifaru standard lid upgrade

I took my standard lid and placed 8 tabs to mount Kifaru belt pouches. Small, med, or large will fit. Adds next to little for weight, but is more versatile if you need to add pouches for quick access items. The nomad pack requires you to undo the three straps to get to them on the back panel...

    Another water bladder option

I wanted to test this out before I suggested it and for me it worked great. I bought a source tactical wide pack 3L water bladder to put in a ilbe lid I picked up cheap on eBay. It has a disconnect bite valve, universal fill adapter, and covered hose. The pals webbing on the lid lets you attach...

    Interesting year

Just kinda cool I ended up harvesting each animal I had pictures of on the trail cam. The deer was right there at the camera site, but the elk was 2 miles away with 30 cows. I knew it was him just by that 3rd point, it ended up being 24". Kind of adds more story to the season.

DIY Bikini Cargo Panel (pic heavy)

Made this last weekend just to see, looks like it could be useful, time will tell. Only have about 20 bucks invested in it so I'm not out too much.
