I started at 55.0gr and was getting ~3020fps. I stopped at 57.0gr when I was getting very faint ejector marks on the brass. Accuracy at 57.0gr in my rifle was right at an inch too with no appreciable gain in velocity with a slightly lower charge.
24" Shilen 280 AI built by LRI. I'm still working tightening SDs but almost everything has shot around 1/2". I've had a couple groups approaching 1/4"
3125 FPS with 145gr LRX, Nosler brass and H4350.
I have a Manners EH-4 stock with the mini chassis for a Savage with a factory sporter barrel. It has a 1/2" butt pad and the CDI bottom metal that accepts AICS magazines. As you can see, the weight with the bottom metal and action screws is 2lbs 6.6 oz. I believe the color is swamp camo...
I haven't great luck with any 55gr FMJs besides the Hornady 55gr FMJs. They are often (not sure about nowdays) $70 or $80 per 1000 and are very accurate. I have no experience with the Palmetto/AAC brand.
