These hogs have been roaming the farm for some time now.
They would show up and root up a clover field and leave, not returning until 7-10 days later.
Last showed up on October 31st, and then I set the trap Nov. 1st with the root stick, as there is no cell signal in this area.

Yep, I had a similar situation as you.
After picking up the longbow again, it was being like a kid.
Didn’t matter if I was stalking and killing Orange leaves hiding behind bushes, or shooting sly stumps off in the distance. It has been fun and rewarding!!

One of my goals is to take a turkey with my longbow, but for some reason, our turkeys here in Alabama are difficult to kill even with a shotgun.
We have a trainer here (Rickey Farley) for K9s, that trains dogs from all over the world. He's top notch in what he does.

Just getting drawn in a turkey is a hard feat. Tough birds for sure. I’ve seen tracking dogs for deer, but didn’t know they had them for turkeys.

For my daughter. We practiced way ahead of time with a .22 and small game hunting. Teaching safety and the just having fun in the woods while shooting and practicing safety with the gun. Hearing protection is a must for the youth unless they want to be like myself with damaged hearing.
