Havent hunted in them yet...but been putting a ton of miles training for sheep hunt this fall...Schnee's Granite II...I have Kenetreks too...really like them but the Schnee's are very comfortable and seems a good deal stiffer...so far hiking with heavy pack...really like them
I recently purchased a Cooper Backcountry in 300 win...they provide a target with a handload that shot well...dime size group of 3...this particular rifle also shot Nosler ABLR 190 factory load nearly as well and also played with handloads. I am going with Hornady ELD-x 200 grn...got that to...
My model 92 that was recently purchased (this past winter) is 1/2 MOA with two factory loads and two hand loads...300 win...and it shot damn good with several other factory loads, sub-MOA...I am very pleased with mine
I have 2 pairs of Kenetrek Mnt Extremes...1 pair NI and one pair 400 grams insulated...really love the boots for elk/deer...I used them in NWT on Mnt Caribou and Dall Sheep...I found them a bit soft side hilling...my ankles were shot after 10 days of hunting....I have since bought Schnees...
How about the NeoPod? Weighs like 3oz...I am playing around with one on my .300...seems like it is high quality...and crazy light...should also mention...kind of expensive
thanks for the advice...I am dialing and redialing the gear list and layers :)...put something in I think I cant live without then take it out two days later...weigh everything...take something out...add it in...weigh again...repeat
First off thanks for the help...I have a Brooks Range sheep/Caribou hunt booked for the fall of 2018 (first week of September). I am researching rain gear and considering all brands...however, kuiu is having a sale and I pulled the trigger on the Ultra NX jacket and pants...considering my hunt...
