    What's your favorite caliber?

    First rifle I bought was a beat up looking used Remington 788 in 6mm. It shot little tiny groups with 100gr coreloks and I have killed literally hundreds of deer and hogs with it. I have have a handful of other rifles but that is by far my favorite.

The Auodads are bigger than the bighorn and run them off the best habitat plus they regularly have 2 lambs so their numbers go up faster. They are more disease resistant (carriers?)...

    If you are interested you might check the schedule for VJP tests in CO. This is the “puppy“natural ability test for dogs 6-18 months old. They are usually in March. it would be a great way to observe multiple dogs and talk to the owners and breeders.

    i have had no issues with my DD’s (7) with other dogs or people. While they are good around “their“ cats that they were raised with strays are fair game. I have had them bring home game they have caught.

    My Dad was a good shot and quick. If a bird or rabbit flushed in front of you he would get it before you had a chance. When I got a drivers license I could go on my own and I hunted less and less with Dad. By the time I graduated HS never.

    I started with Gwp. Great dog. Switched to DD. Every one of these dogs must go through 2 hunting tests and a coat and conformation test to be allowed to breed. Hard to get one that won’ t hunt. we hunt quail in S. TX. ducks in the bay and timber . Pheasants grouse and P chickens in the dakotas...
