    Question for Elk grilling experts

McCormick Unseasoned Meat Tenderizer, 3.37 oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0005XMQRW/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_Y0C3Z45N0PFNE2HZKK0C I've used meat tenderizer powder like this on tough cuts like round steak in the past with decent results. Bromelain is from pineapple. Other versions use papain, which...

    Colorado with 6 points

If your buddy has a line on a good deer hunt you can afford, I'd say burn the extra points and go have fun. The only thing you'd lose is a few years of preference point fees.

    Hard bolt lift mild load

I see 63gr as max for a 160 Accubond as well. Alliant lists a max 65gr of RL22 for a Speer 160 but that may not correlate directly for an Accubond. Sometimes there are variations between lot #'s of powder, and having ammo sitting in the summer sun definitely could be a contributing factor.

Sold Huge Powder/Primer Lot - Grand Junction

I have some powder and primers that I inherited and I'll never use, so maybe I can pass it along and help someone out either to use themselves or flip for a little profit. The powder is all unopened/sealed. Retail cost would be in the ballpark of $1300 at the moment, if it was in stock. With...

    The Rokslide Stock Traders Thread

More credit where it's due from watching this thread (although it's been mentioned several times and I'm not sure which response tipped me off). TRCH is making some tasty moves from my initial buy at $0.70. Gonna sit on at least half until February unless something goes haywire.

Advice Needed: Tired Of Striking Out

Colorado has 4 regular rifle seasons. 1st season is elk only. 2nd and 3rd season are combined deer and elk. 4th season can be combined or elk only depending on the GMU. Then there are also early rifle hunts in a few GMUs. Typically the easiest to draw buck tags are 2nd rifle (late October)...

Advice Needed: Tired Of Striking Out

What season are you planning to hunt? For archery and muzzleloader seasons scouting might be beneficial, but things start to change in October due to hunting pressure, weather, the upcoming rut, changes in forage quality, etc.

    Mississippi pot roast = damn!

One of my faves for deer/elk. The only thing I change is to add more butter since venison is so lean.

    Show off some mulies!

No big giants but these are my Colorado bucks going back to 2008. I shot all the real little ones for sentimental reasons. Six different GMUs, archery, 2nd rifle, and 3rd rifle. All but 2 were leftover, second choice, 0-point, or reissue tags.
