    Thanks for the reply, makes sense to me. We used to be able to get limits of pheasants no problem but haven’t seen a wild bird in years. I completed the survey and sent it to some hunting buddies, hopefully it does some good.

    I can’t seem to get your link to work but would be happy to fill out the survey if you can get a hyperlink posted. Hunting related question, what do you think has happened to California’s wild pheasant population? They seem to have disappeared from places I found them for years.

    Scarpa boots are the real deal. Listen to the other guys and get a pair of these. I’ve owned several pair and are by far my stiffest hunting boots.

    Have any of you been lucky enough to draw a California lope tag yet? If so, what unit did you draw and how was the hunting? I’m sitting on max points and can hopefully draw in the next few years (fingers crossed). I’ve hunted them in Nevada and Wyoming but never in my home state.

    I have worked and hunted in the same pair Grand Drus for three years straight and they are only now starting to break down. The rubber rand and sole are still well attached despite hundreds of miles in talus and scree. I've owned almost every other big name boot and these have lasted the longest...
