Miles on your old 7.3 diesel?

You’re probably fine with the ELC coolant in your 03 (and I like elc coolants) but just a heads up to other people…. some of the earlier 7.3 powerstrokes used an injection cup sealant that breaks down quickly when in contact with some additives within some elc coolants. I wouldn’t recommend it...

    Real time satellite imaging

You can check out CalTopo as well. Need the pro account to get daily sat images I believe. Great for hunting, skiing and peakbagging adventures. 50 bucks a year I think but you can save maps offline and such. Powerful tool. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Mt Ranier

Cascade volcanoes are awesome in every way. Rainier can be topped out by little kids and grandmothers if the weather is ideal and can turn back some tough dudes when the weather/conditions are tipped against you. It would be wise to have mountaineering experience or to hire a guide service...

    Short quotes that speak volumes.

That’s a great one Five. My grandfather used to say that with his danish accent and it stuck with me. Here is another. Control the controllable and roll with the punches. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Short quotes that speak volumes.

I love me a good quip for all of those same reasons. You end up being the average of the five people you hang around most. Be a thermostat and not a thermometer. Hardships are the stepping stones to success. It’s hard to reason with someone who doesn’t know what they’re talking about...

How many miles ya got ?

I love this game. Cracked 500,000 miles a few years ago and resting at 584,000 now. Similar to the OP’s truck. ‘99 7.3 used day in day out for construction work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Neoair XLite Women's

That’s the pad I use for all of those reasons. I’m 6’-2” and it works just fine. It would be easy to find a more comfortable pad but this strikes a nice balance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Who’s reached a half a mill?

I have 582k on my 99 super duty. Took these a few years ago when I rolled over 500k. Best truck I’ve ever had. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    1st Time Climbing Mt. Hood

Bring your skis. Just kidding…. Kind of… That’s a fun one because you can see the whole route from the parking lot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Feathered Friends

I have a volant and it’s my favorite price of clothing. I typically don’t pack the hood and have a super warm jacket that’s only 1.5 lbs. good for winter mountaineering or cold sits while hunting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Anyone Snowshoe or Cross Country/Touring Ski in Off Season? Getting Started Tips?

All are great. Snowshoeing is certainly cheaper and safer. Perhaps a good place to start. Back country skiing is crazy fun. Lots of great terrain in my neck of the woods and hard to beat the feeling of skiing off the top of a volcano. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Kuiu Gale Force Vs Feathered Friends or other jacket?

The Pertex fabric is pretty good but not water proof. If it’s cold enough to warrant that jacket, the snow should be dry enough to shed well. Their website has all sort of good info too. Runs a bit big but I would check it out in person if possible. Big bucks for awesome gear are a poor...

Kuiu Gale Force Vs Feathered Friends or other jacket?

I got the volant after freezing my tail off in the kuiu puffy. It is my favorite piece of clothing now. Super toasty at roughly 2 lbs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    The sadness of loss??

Saw the gofundme email and checked in here to see this post... Sad doesn't begin to describe it. My wife and I are both so sorry for the loss of little CB. He looked like a trooper. You and your wife must be super studs to go through something like that and I bet he was blessed so much by your...

    Ford Diesel Trucks

I have some ag and construction experience but I'm not a mechanic. That means this is worth what you paid for it. If you want more space, it doesn't get much better than a super duty. I have lived out of mine for days at a time and it drives like a dream. There are exceptions to every rule but...
