I have one on order and I am hoping they are now checking them before they send them out the door. I also have a helix ultra on order I am really excited about them both but I think i am more excited about the helix.
So I will throw my 2 cents in here, as someone who tests a lot of products and as someone who now owns an archery shop. as a point of clarification my shop is not a full retail shop like most we are a tuning arrow building business.
There are many factors to consider when we talk about arrows...
All that make them custom is the ability to them any length you want. Also there are not many people making footers. I ship them to my customers ready to glue on cut to the length they specified with instructions on how to install them but they install them. That is unless I’m building arrows...
footer are simply a sleeve that you glue on to your arrow, they make the weak spot of the hit insert system go away. that weak spot if relying on the carbon to hold your field point to broadhead in place should it want to bend at the threads. they are tougher then the FMJ's because the sleeve is...
if you look at the video born and raised did about arrows you will see the winner in that video was the good old easton axis with the HIT insert and a footer. now I am a little biased since it was my footer that were on that arrow. But I will say in all honest that I truly believe the axis arrow...
I will do a very quick write up on my arrow building process take from it what you will. My way is not the only way and yes you can shoot just fine with what I would call the more standard method. But her goes
1. I spin all arrows before they are cut and I cut them to remove wobble. That means...
I just did a podcast on arrow building. we cover a ton of stuff, and some of what I say might not be popular and its not a one size fits all type thing but here is a link if you are interest.

With proper shot placement yes it would work. Lots of variables though play into this. FOC, arrowbuild, arrow weight, arrow speed (this isn’t that important though)
when I say weight I mean arrow weight, the heavier the arrow the better the bow performs. when I am reverse calculating what my IBO would be It just kept going up the heavier I got. so the speed drop off was not as much as I would have thought for as heavy as I test. I have video on here...
I love my ultra, it is just an awesome bow. you will find the higher in weight you go the more the ultra cam will like it, like a lot of cams these things love heavy weight, but these cams and bows seem to love it more!
Mine have all come in under by a little and I am OCD but this is one thing that has never bothered me. 5 grains will not make a difference, hell my 150G field tips weigh 145 so my Iron will's match them perfect. They Fly so well and are incredibly durable that I don't let it bug me at all.
