    I have one of the Safari Tuff quivers. It's pretty nice, but there is one glaring problem for a hunting quiver. When you pull an arrow out of it, the fletching dragging along the inside of the quiver is kind of noisy.

    I've been using a little 5-ton Ryobi for 15 years now. I only split about 5 cords per year and it's mostly lodgepole, and a little larch and doug fir. Might be a little light in the ass for hardwoods.

    SO BT2 vs Lil bug out base & vestibule?

    No experience with the LBO, but I had a BT2 a few years ago. The BT2 does not have guyouts above the perimeter. I don't think either shelter is listed on Seek Outside website any more. You might find them on the used market though.

    I did something like that a while back. Samick Discovery R3 Long limbs. 30# vs 45#. 576 grain arrow. Average of 6 arrows with each limb: 30# R3 Long limbs - 165 fps 45# R3 Long limbs - 189 fps

    That's right. I've always known the longbow is the slower design. I just wanted to quantify that with two bows I have on hand. Thought it was share worthy.
