One option to consider is using a shoe stretcher to widen the toe box area of the boot.
I got one of these and have had good luck gaining some width in leather boots and shoes for my wide feet. Game changer for me!

I also run the large pouch on top with no lid. In day hunt mode with the center compressions tightened down you can still access the open side pockets easily. Love how I can jam my bugle in one side and tripod and spotter in the other.

That's the solution I went with last year. Used 1 inch spacers so I didn't have to grind down the lug bolts on my '13 F150. Pulled them off as soon as my late season hunt was over. It gave me plenty of room for running heavy v-bar chains.
