Haven't been on much in a while. I thought I would check and see who will be attending the Washington Wild Sheep Foundation banquet this Saturday. I'm pretty psyched and preparing my acceptance speech for the >1 drawing. :). We need to have a Rokslide roll call and raise a glass together!

I'll be there. You'll recognize me as the guy winning one of the sheep hunts!

It did sell out quick, I got the second to last ticket available, that's one of the reasons I'm thinking I'm headed north in 17 for #3. Will be a fun night though for sure. Those of you in the <1 club have got to be stoked, the odds on that hunt are really good.

Yeah I've been working on my acceptance speech all week. It goes something like this, "WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" followed by streaking through the casino.

I had a blast last night. Ridgerunner I kept seeing you across the room and never had a chance to say hi. I wanted to bid on the Kifaru pack and wasn't paying attention when all of a sudden my wife says I think they are bidding on it and I immediately raise my hand which the auctioneer calls out $500. Someone else bids $550 then I got nervous because I looked at my wife and asked her, "Is this really for the backpack?" She looks at me and said, "I think so." I started laughing because at this point I wasn't sure what I was bidding on and it was going pretty quick and I hesitated and lost out.

Travis, the guy who won the Dall's sheep hunt, won the lottery last night. A sheep hunt, $5000 raffle, and a FatBoy safe. Our table made out fairly well. My buddies daughter won the Hilleberg tent raffle, and he ended up winning the Yeti cooler raffle. I nearly fainted because it was his third Yeti he has won at a banquet. Then I wished my two other friends good luck on the Smith & Wesson 44 Mag raffle and I was in la la land when all of a sudden I hear my name being called. Woo Hoo, I'll be picking up a new backpacking gun this week!

Then I had to laugh my ass off when the Scotch sale went wild. My buddy come back into the room oblivious to what's going on when all of a sudden he gets to our table and sees the guy holding a bottle of scotch and yelling out $100. My buddy immediately yells, "hell yeah" and throws his hand in the air and starts to walk up to get his scotch. All of us at the table were laughing because he had no idea that that all it would take was another person to bid $100 and he would lose out on the scotch and be on the hook for the $100 donation. Luckily he figured it out before he jumped on stage, lol.

I hope some of you guys were able to speak to Domenic Ferrerelli with Flathead Wilderness Adventures. He's a good guide and a helluva nice guy who was been supporting the show for a number of years. Thanks again to Aron Snyder and Kifaru for donating the Timberline pack. I'm already looking forward to next year.

Great night indeed. I'm still laying on the couch. Travis is my hunting partner. Deserving guy. He'll do the hunt justice.

He bought the Hawaii trip with the $5k credit. Then asked my girlfriend and I if we wanted to go. Pretty excited about that one!

So I actually met you last night. I was congratulating Travis while you guys were trying to figure out how to move the safe and you were all stoked with a perma grin about going to Hawaii.

What frame was on the timberline ? I really liked that pack.

Well that makes sense now that he is also taking your girlfriend and you as well. When I was talking to his wife she was all excited about going to Hawaii and then you popped off in the background with that big grin, "He's taking me to Hawaii.". I was thinking hmm taking the hunting partner over the wife to Hawaii, that's gonna go over like a ton of bricks, lmao.

Haha, yeah that wouldn't be good. His girlfriend and mine were roommates in college and trav and I have been friends since elementary school. It'll be a pretty fun trip!

So there is a <1 drawing at this banquet?

Wish I'd have known, been looking for a good reason to head up that way and visit some friends. If they have it next year and I haven't been lucky enough to get kicked out, I'll be there!

There was this year. Along with another hunt that a WA life member was eligible for.
