I was 21 when I first killed a Dall Sheep. The Coast Guard took up to Alaska and as soon as I was a resident I went on a successful hunt. I have been a resident of AK ever since and have killed 4 total and been apart of 5 other sheep taken.
Now that Im in the Army and in Afghanistan all I can do is dream about past hunts plan future hunts and look at rokslide!

First sheep hunt was at 20, again at 22... MT unlimited, unsuccessful both times, but into sheep. It was about 10 years later that I finally killed my first at age 32... had to move to AK to do it. pretty surreal moment when it finally happened. I looked at over 30 rams before finding a "no doubt legal ram". Killed him on day 9 in the Brooks. My wife shot a grizz that morning, and I ventured out solo for the afternoon hunt to kill a ram we'd seen the day before. I ended up killing him about 11pm after a 7 mile hike from camp, slept on the mountain, packed everything back to the following morning, totally exhausted. I'll never forget cresting a small knife ridge and seeing 3 rams feeding at 100 yards.

Took my first one at 33 and second at 36. I've packed out 7 rams in the last six years and two goats. Every one has been an unforgettable experience. As weird as it sounds I think about them everyday.

Nice Cali!!!!!!

First ram was a dall at 35. That was 10 years ago. Looking for #2.

I've been very fortunate to be a part of a lot of successful sheep hunts and am very thankful to be a part of the sheep community.

Started when I was 25, and went on 7 trips over 11 years. Finally found a legal one when I was 36:

That's a beautiful ram - look at that deep curl! And I always like to see them with only one hole, in the right place. Congrats!

I too was 36 when I got my first ram. Started 4 years earlier. Most recent ram was at age 52.
