Sheep survey in Grand Junction

Anyone going to do the sheep surveys this month with the DOW in Grand Junction?

I'm headed up to the class on the 11th and the survey is on the 13th. Should be a good time.

1600. Not sure where, I'm still waiting for that info.

Should be at the main office on independent avenue. Usually where they do all there stuff.

Call the Grand Junction DOW office and ask for Stephanie Durno. Their are two dates in April and one in May.

I went to the class yesterday to get some ID tips and work out logistics.

I go in tonight and will do an overnight stay, then move out to the Colorado river to be picked up by boat. There's roughly 200 desert bighorns out here so hopefully I'll get a chance to see a few.

Just got back from the sheep count. Unfortunately I didn't see any despite the 19 miles of walking I did. They were in the next Canyon over where 27 were spotted. Next year maybe!
