I was planning on doing a diy rifle elk hunt in unit 421 in the ne part of the forest has any one hunted in that area or have any info they would like to share, i would be accessing it through private land and also hunting some private land and was wondering how the elk are doing in that area or if it would be worth giving it a try. It would would be 2nd season OTC. This would be my first elk hunt and would have a cabin to stay in but bring bringing my backpacking stuff and probally going that route but have cabin to stay in if i want to. Thanks guys
