New Mexico Unit 24 : Muzzle Loader Mule Deer Hunt

I am looking for some advise for public hunting areas in New Mexico unit 24. I have a muzzle loader mule deer hunt this weekend. The area I'm looking at it Sheep Corral Trail of Hwy 15 and Royal Johns Mine Road off of Hwy 61. I like to find a area that I can glass. I didn't have a chance to make it down there for a scouting trip. Any info would be appreciated.

All I know is that anytime anyone asks about 24, those exact 2 areas are mentioned. Either there's plenty to of animals in there, or there's going to be plenty of people in there.

Do both of those name bring back memories......funny how small the world is. Been in on both. Royal John is a bit different habitat. Not sure how much glassing you'd get in either area. Not what I'd consider primary glassing country
