We were out deer hunting last weekend when my dad happened to find this guy staring up the hill at him about 25yds away. Out of his 40 years of hunting this is his first time ever being able to even get a shot at a mountain lion. He was very happy. The official length measured by ODFW was 7'7".

Yeah I think it was too close for his liking too haha. I'm surprised it stood around for him to pull his rifle off his shoulder flip his scope caps up and be able to make a shot haha.

Congratulations ! Great work getting a cat without hounds. Wish there was a way to trim them back to a remnant population. They devastate the deer and elk.

Yes they do! I think the biologist told my dad they kill about one a week!

We have year round lion season here in Arizona and I have yet to get one.
