1102 Yard .. Barrier Broken

Finally broke the 1000 yd barrier! Last day, last hour of my season. The 7mm 162 gr Aluminum Tip A-max works wonder. Shot one at 840 yds two weeks ago _DSC2267.jpgDSCN0736.jpg

Congrats. That is a long poke for sure. How much was your calculated drop and how much windage did you need?

Dialed in 21.75 MOA and 1 MOA for spin drift. Very little wind to deal with here in the southeast. Both deer were shot in a no wind condition. I take my hat off to you guys out West! The AT A-max has a bc of .725 which held true in my rifle. MV of 3080. Hope to test it on feral hogs in Jan and Feb.

Awesome shot congrats!! I've never seen the Aluminum tipped Amax before, where do you find those?

I think there were made in 2005 or 2006. One large production and then Hornady said the cost of production was to high for a repeat. They are call National Match bullets. Very hard to find and few people are willing to give them up! At least I feel like I'm part of the club now or at least I've got my foot in the door :)
