So I broke down and bought a used Swaro 65mm HD spotter recently. I've taken pics with a typical point and shoot digital camera through my Luepold spotter in previous years. I simply held the camera to the ocular lens and played the game of trying to get a decent picture. So, are there any camera mounts or tricks to getting a decent picture with a point and shoot with the 65mm Swaro scope? When I say "decent" I mean something that is relatively clear to share with buddy's etc.

Do you already have a camera? If not, I would highly recommend an Olympus TG series in conjunction with the adapters I attached.

Mine will be in the mail soon but Stid has been using this method for a good bit now and the photos are of outstanding quality, including video of a 500yd shot.

I was forced into an upgrade after a vacation last fall so I picked up the TG3 which offers a wifi hands free app.

Step up ring threads into the eyepiece, adapter goes onto the step up ring.

If you already have a camera, look at tines up adapters. You can also make a simple adapter out of a couple abs pipe fittings and it works great. There are a couple threads about making your own if you search through this forum.

Here is a quick how to on the installation of the Tines up adapter.

Edit to add:
If you're going to buy a new camera, I would also recommend looking at the Sony RX100's and the Canon G7X. A lot of guys are using the Sonys with great success. I just bought the Canon G7X and have only started to test it. So far, I'm pretty impressed.
