I'm looking to buy a Wild West Guns .457 Copilot or master guide in 457. I will buy out right or have many high end guns to trade. I will also pay a $50 finders fee if you can find me a used one via pay pal if I purchase.

A worthy cause for sure. I had one for years parkerized and wood, takedown. Also shoots 45-70s. Accurate with the Ghost Peep. Just never shot the damn thing much. Just sold it a few months ago. Good luck. PS those 457s will rattle your teeth.

What I'm saying is the 457 Alaskan also shoots regular 45 70 ammo as well as the proprietary 457 Alaskan ammo which is expensive. 350s in the 457 Ak I think is what I had. Funny story when these 1st came out about 15 years ago I was at the Sheep Show in Reno and won a couple of grand playing blackjack one night and went to Jim West's booth the next day and put down a deposit on one. Ha.

Is the 457. Much like a 45-90 or 45-100? Once shot a 45-90 in an 1886 minchester with the curved metal buttplate,,,,once

Never shot a 45 90 or 45 100 but did shoot a couple of boxes of the Wild West 457 Alaskan in 350 grain. Much more recoil than a standard 45 70 with a 300 grain factory load. I would compare it to a 12 gauge 3 1/2" Magnum turkey load. Make your nose bleed if you shoot enough of them. Ha.

pics and a review would be nice. recently had my marlin out for a spin. neighbor kid had never shot a 45-70 . started out with some sissy loads then worked up, he never yelled uncle but he is a big kid too[300 +]
