I wasn't sure where to post this so I chose clothing. There is no better way to say it other than I am a sunglasses snob. I have tried so many (and lost) that I feel I have a good handle on what is good and what is not. First, let me get this out of the way: Oakley's are overrated! Cool, now I can move on to the task at hand. I have always felt that Maui Jim had excellent lenses but there is a competitor that, in my opinion, is a touch better. Kaenon makes some outstanding sunglasses and their SR-71 lenses are sweet. The anti-slip nose pads work great and are comfortable. Also, they are lighter than others. If you decide to give them a try, look at their web specials for a nice discount before jumping all-in. They have measurement specs for each so you can match a style to your face without guessing. Also, give yellow lenses a try sometime. It really does a nice job of cutting glare yet highlighting landscape detail for us western guys.

Thanks for posting...im looking for a new pair. Will check out the kaenons.

I'm hoping to do a video this week on the edge tactical line I sell. They are pretty wicked and tough as hell and really cheap. Haven't had one person, soldier or otherwise that didn't like them more so than their Oakleys.

I like the vaporshield technology the best. Having glasses that don't fog up is sweet!

steepandcheap.com has some Kaenons listed now that will be up for a couple days on their new format.

Good call! I've had a pair of amber lensed Kaenons for years, they have it all over my Oakleys. I shoot, hunt, fish & drive with them on all the time...

My sunglasses often get damaged and dirty due to the nature of my work. I've found Native's to be of good quality for the price and you can always find them on sale somewhere. Steep N Cheap, Sierra Trading post, Ebay, wherever. The lenses are polarized, come in several different shades, fits and frame styles. I've been wearing the Vigor model. They have interchangeable lenses which are not cheap or junky, polarized, and they have good overall coverage over the eyeballs. The frames are nice because they have slim earpieces that fit under a hat nicely. I believe all Native lenses are poly-carbonate.

The warranty has been good for me so far. Had a guy knock them off my face and they got broken, I called for an RA# and sent them back, they sent me a brand new pair with an extra set of shaded polarized lenses.

Mike can you get a pair of the Edge Tactical Hamel Polarized, and if so could you let me know a price? Thanks!

I'm running a special on them now actually! Check em out on my website. About $30 but that's lowered to account for sending them ups or FedEx.
