Im a wildland firefighter that loves camping and hunting and im looking at getting a tent/tarp. Ive been sleeping in a eureka with open vestibles and a BA 20* bag. The airmattress for the bag started not holding air after the first week of use and the tent is a pain to set up in the rain and if i zip the doors shut there are condensation problems which are made worse by my height since my head and feet touch the walls of the tent. Ive been thinking of a floorless tent design so i can keep my dirty boots and gear in there and not worry about the inside getting filthy but the mosquitoes can get quite bad some places. Also we frequently put the tents away wet because of the need to be mobile and packing up when the dew is still on the ground. I want something durable too and cheap. Dont want to buy a $400 tent just for it to get ruined within one season. Do you guys have any advice.

What to do about bugs with a floorless tent
Any cheap bullet proof quick to set up solutions out there?
I really like the kifaru super or mega tarp but having that on the fire worries me. Oh i cant always set the tent up knowing which direction the weather will come in either

Another thought, Justin Davis here on the forum, would be a good resource as for what he uses when out on a fire.
