I wanted to get you all involved on something we usually only do with prostaff. PhoneSkope is a faithful Rokslide sponsor and seems to be pretty dang popular on this forum.

I have some prostaff testing a few different setups and will be submitting review articles later this fall. I'd love to get a members' perspective, too. So here's the deal:

If you have at least a week of hunts or scouting coming up in the next 60 days, you own optics that are PhoneSkope adaptable, have some experience with digiscoping, AND you can write well (including providing good pics), I'd like to get you the gear to review AND keep. Plus, we'll even pay $50 for the article (enough to take the little gal out or buy some premium ammo or a few Solid Broadheads.)

I'd like to make a decision by Monday August 24 so we can get the gear out to you (takes about a week). This is what I need:

Post up in this thread in 100 words or less (I'm evaluating your writing skills, too, so do it right and I mean 100 words or less!) what hunts/scouting you'll be testing the gear on, what optics you'll be using, and when you can deliver the article.(Really anytime before December 1st). Feel free to post up to 3 digiscoped pics you've taken before.

Go to PhoneSkope http://www.phoneskope.com/phoneskope-hunting/

and shop out your gear. We have a budget of $150 or so. I'd really like someone to test their new Bluetooth Shutter option if at all possible.

Ryan and I will pick from the posts we get and post on here by Monday the 24th who we picked. We may pick someone sooner depending on the responses if there's a time issue with a really good hunt coming up.

Robby, I actually just bought and received my phone skope kit for my Vortex Razor 11-33x50, so no need to provide the product. I'll be on a weeklong rifle hunt in Wyoming, hiking in on the 12th and hunting till the 19th of September, with plenty of time before the opener to digiscope bucks and other wildlife. I also plan to capture footage of using the system while shooting my rifle at 500 yards and scouting for whitetails as well. The attached picture is from yesterday evening at 1100 yards with my iPhone6. I could deliver the article in October.

T minus three days until I'm inhaling the crisp goodness of sage and juniper. I'm attempting to recall my schedule out loud. This Friday off work at five o clock. Truck shall be loaded and my father will be waiting in anticipation at my house. Banzai to northern NV for a scout/hunt for the mystical golden pronghorn. Come back Sunday evening. Back to work for two of the longest days in history... Then I've got a serious vendetta to kill a velvet buck in Arizona. (Aug 26-30) After 10+ scouting trips I have seen one group of bucks up and feeding at daybreak. This will be a very trying hunt. Get home the 30th, work night shift for a week. Then bail out (back to northern NV) to fill 2 antelope doe tags, high hopes of letting the .264 stretch its new found legs!! Also on the roster are several doe mule deer tags, a couple buck muley tags and a buddies desert sheep tag. Let the fall begin!! This is short notice. But if you guys want a lot of pics. And soon. I'll cover the overnight shipping to get products ASAP. Here are a few free hand pics. I don't currently own an attachment for my 65 mm razor spotter. Or for the iPhone 5 I own. I think it would be great to have a continuous pic thread thru-out the season with the phone scope in use and not in use for consumers to verify the benefit of the products. Me write good.

Have many trips planned to pursue elusive berry munchers over next two moon cycles.

Then head to Land of Rocky Mountains and air that make you think like rock to hunt the Great Horned Wapiti, and their consorts for many turns of the great light.

My brother who scares all the animals constantly tells me to buy Phone Skope for Swarovski ATM 80 MM as I balance iPhone 5 precariously against the prevailing winds.

I stomp feet and refuse.

Seems like good trade for you.

Better trade for me.

Write fast.

I couldn't do this justice but am looking at purchasing a 'phone skope' after taking pics by hand last time out. BTW when I went to 'sponsors' on here I didn't see phone skope there. Guessing that page needs to be updated. I'll google for your site. Kudos for the offer you are providing to people on here!

Travis definitely needs the gear after that video and I couldn't stop reading his prose either.

Eagle, we'll keep that in mind if you'd like to put something together after your Wyoming hunt.

xziang, sorry that page isn't updated. It only shows a few of our sponsors. Phoneskope ad is on the forum main page at the digiscope forum.

Hardstalk, stay tuned, let's see what else pops up. You definitely have the tags!

Sounds good! Good on you guys for delegating and sharing the goods! My seasons usually start with a bunch of "unsuccessful" notices. Then things start coming together, my phone starts ringing off the hook. Next thing I know I end up with more hunts and adventures than I have time for.

It's not often I get to unleash my creative writing on a hunting forum...

I'll be happy to test and write a review, and FilltheFreezer will weep tears of joy!

I stared at my computer screen, digesting the credit charge to “AZGFD”, realizing I was going on my first Western DIY adventure for Arizona Coues Deer in October. Not the last charge to that card, I quickly added a Razor HD spotter and tripod to my array of Vortex Optics. Spending much of my saved military leave for this hunt I selected an iPhone 6 Phone Skope adaptor. A Bluetooth kit or Hero3 Black adaptor will add dimensions to recording this hunt and test their ease of use in my rookie season out west.

I really like the phoneskope products and their customer service BUT I've had nothing but problems with mine. I have the iPhone 6+ coupled with a Vortex razor angled 65mm. I'm starting to think it might be my phone because all my friends work perfect. Back in January in AZ I had the problem and they sent me a new case. Again this summer I've had the same problem and now they are sending me the C4 universal. I sure hope it works this time. I have to kink and hold phone in place to get an image in view. I also have the shutter button and it is really cool. All you do is make sure that your Bluetooth is turned on and just click the button to take pics. No more blurs from touching and vibrating.
Here are a few of my problem pics.

Slim Jim, have you tried zooming your phone in slightly to get rid of that vignetting? I have mine do that occasionally, zoom it in and it goes away.

I have luck adjusting the eye relief length or like rosinbag use phone zoom

I've tried adjusting the eye relief in, partially out, half way and all the way out.
I'm beginning to think it's my phone.
This pic was taken on the same hunt from my buddy Gabes phoneskope

I have to have my eye cup all the way in and then zoom just enough to get rid of any black circles. I have a life proof case on my iPhone and just use their Velcro kit, might be the universal. If it looks too bright check your settings you may have it set on something weird like chrome or something.

I didn't get the Bluetooth as I just use the 3sec delay which seems to be enough for the vibration to stop.

I have actually considered getting a smartphone JUST so I could use the Phone Scope with my Meopta S2 82mm spotter. I don't think I'd use it for anything else though. Oh well.
