Been looking at the western mountaineering line of bags lately for my GF. The two bags that most seem to fit her needs are the apache or the ultralite. Anyone with experience with either or both bags that could point us one direction or the other? My local shops selection is a little limited so in person comparisons can be tough.

I'm very pleased with my Apache for late fall trips. It's too much and cooks me if the nighttime temps stay above 30 though. definitely good to the rated temp.

I have had the ultralite for 5 years and have nothing bad to say. I don't know if you can go wrong with either bag. They seem to have pretty close specs. Weight is better on the ultralite but temp rating is 5 deg higher. Maybe it'll come down to material feel.

Apache has more space, tougher/more water resistent/breathable shell, warmer. Ultralite is lighter. Pick your poison.

I just picked up an alpinlite for a little more room and comparable weight to the apache. Tough to choose one!
