For those wondering, here's the Cimmaron and two single man bug bivys. I have the Cimmaron up on 18" guylines, I then have guylines long enough on the bivys so they can use the Cimmarons stakes. Plenty of room in between, close to 4'. Appears as long as you use a stick or walking stick to stand up one of the bivys up, you could still use a stove.

Anybody have any ideas for attaching guylines and lantern at the top? I had a velcro strip and prussik knot on it for the last trip but on the way out they both came off.

Thanks for the sharing the pics. I looked for those bivys but can't find them on Bearpaws site. Is this the bug bivy minus the bended support pole with the bug bivys? Thanks

I used the pyranet 1. It's designed to be used with a stick and staked back down to the ground. You can easily use that attachment to just hang it up to your center pole. I just need to come up with a better attachment to the pole.

I just use prussik knots on my pole or trekking poles in the Cimarron. If you need, maybe a couple wraps of duct tape or something near the top would help if it's slipping. Live2hunt can also so some mods on it if you wanted. I had him put in some interior loops so I can hang a clothes line. You could probably get some loops put in to attach those nests.

Looks like a great system. What does a set up like that weigh with the ropes and without the pole? Also ballpark cost ? Thanks!

All of the products don't come with guylines, factory weights are:
Cimmaron - 36 oz
Bug bivy - 11 oz x 2 - 22 oz
Pole - 13 oz
Total 71 oz, 4.4 PDs.

Not bad for two people
