Does anyone have experience with 1.6oz HyperD PU4000 from RSBTR? I'm working on a tipi project and can't decide between 1.6oz silpoly or the HyperD.

Yeah...we PM'd...but yeah, I really like the stuff. It's much easier to work with than the 1.1oz as it has a little stiffness. Feels a LOT stronger too.

I think on my 13' dia tipi it was about 1/2 pound more in fabric weight is all over the lighter stuff.

the first pitch on mine...still had to sew on the skirt. Pitched lower than I actually use it in the field...my pole was on a lower setting. Vent and Stove jack are on the other side.

Worth noting for those not familiar with tipis- my tipi is actually tied down wrong in this pic.

If you follow the line of the seam straight to the ground it pitches tighter...vs the stakes being out away from the perimeter as in this pic. Here, the tension is more on the perimeter than on the seam where you want it.
