tipi/hybrids and options question

And it looks like, but I'm not certain, that fair chunk of the weight difference is that the Redcliff comes with a carbon pole as standard and the tipis don't?
my SO 4 man tipi came with a carbon pole...so that should be the standard option unless it changed

Another positive to the Redcliffe is the square design. Super quick and easy to pitch. The Tipis are not bad, but still not that quick.

And with that the Tipis will shed wind a little better.

Another option that may work for you would be the LBO-Base Tarp Base.

BPWD luna 6 and lite outdoors 18" stove, with screens. Perfect for 2 and gear. 3 people doable with stove and gear outside. 4 is a tight squeeze and no stove...and condensation galore.

We packed in the stove but didn't use it this year with pretty warm temps. we both had our gas stoves with us and they were enough to take the edge off making coffee in the am.
