Foot print or not?

Do you guys use a foot print with floored tents or not? Are they worth messing with?

Naw. Unless it's a really high dollar tent and you aren't worried about weight.

If your worried about rain and a leaky bath tub get some of those giant plastic sheets that painters use and put it inside your tent.

I've rode out some pretty gnarly storms with water flowing through my tent and underneath the plastic. Stayed nice and dry.

Often times the foot print outside of your tent traps water between the footprint and the tent and actually makes the problem worse.

Yes on my Big Agnes tents but no on my Alps Mtneering tents.
