How does the quality compare to SO or Kifaru? I’m going to guess for the price point it’s not going to be comparable but anything is possible. I was set to order the hexpeak ( not the xl ) and all of a sudden got concerned about quality and have been researching floorless shelters since. I’m fairly set on a SO silver tip but if the quality of the hexpeak is remotely comparable I’d reconsider for the price point and options. I like the luxe option of nests at a much better price point than other manufactures. Having a nest is mandatory fo me to get through the bug / snake seasons in eastern MT until fall comes and their gone for the year. Any input from hands on experience regarding comparable quality would be much appreciated.

Just ordered a SO Cimarron an hour ago and then I see this thread. I hope I didn’t make a mistake.

I don't know exactly what the Kifaru shelters are like but I do have a SO DST tarp and I'd say the Luxe is right there. The cost savings is from manufacturing in China. I just came out of the Gore Range and the Maroon Belle's and I had zero issues.

First time logging on in months. Go to sleep system forum and see Luxe as the top thread. Does this mean I’m a “hipster”? And that I can say “I liked them before they were mainstream”? Because I paid €130 to have the sil-nylon version of the minipeak shipped from Spain last July?

Due to the angles it's an awkward fit but could be done. The mini peak XL is a bit more usable space honestly
