Kestrel Caper AEB-L or S90V?

G'day,

I'll have a new Kestrel caper soon and will get to pick between an AEB-L or S90V model....I have zero experience with either material.

Looking at the specs (GIRU page) the S90V holds an edge longer than the AEB-L steel, long enough to forgo carrying sharpening equipment? If so that would be an added bonus.

I can sharpen all my own knives to a shaving edge so I am not put off by the difficulty in sharpening the S90V, just unsure of it's ability to hold an edge when dressing multiple animals.

Anyone using S90V out there?
