Back pain

So last weekend I spent 4 nights in the backcountry and slept horribly. I kept waking up with lower back pain to the point where it hurt to breath when I first woke up and had to stretch it out. I am 5 10 190lbs side sleeper and my bed at home is pretty soft. I am currently using a Nemo tensor sleeping pad and am looking for any other suggestions of what to try or setups.

Strengthen your hamstrings, core, glutes, and sleep on your back with your legs slightly elevated when campin'

I had the same issue 2 years ago, back to the drawing board and sleep like a baby now.

I ran into the same issue with numerous pads and ended up taking the size/weight penalty for good sleep. The Exped deepsleep 7.5 has been incredible and I’ve been pain free since.

Prob the tension from hiking - being outdoors -
And possible pad/levelness of ground

I hardly ever sleep the same 2 nights in a row.

Good luck. You’ll fig out. Gets even harder if you are mobile and moving daily to new spot
