CA Mule Deer food ID help

Looking help on identifying the name of this plant from the sierra’s in CA. Its like crack for deer in the early season from what i can tell. Thanks for the help.

A species of Elderberry I believe. Red, Alpine, Rocky Mt. are possibilities.

I believe you are absolutely correct! I never see them bloom cause the deer eat them into oblivion. Thank you.
