Combo Headlamp/UV water purifier rumor..?

I was cruising a backcountry website a few weeks back and one of the equipment testers alluded that a combo headlamp/UV water purifier may be in the works/offing from a manufacturer.

This sounds pretty slick to me since I love to save space and weight.

Anyone else heard rumors of this? If so, do you have info to dish?

I owned 3 different models of steripens over the years and pretty much refuse to ever use electronic water purification again. "finicky" is the nice way to put it.

philosophically I am nearly always opposed to combining items, limits your ability to select different version, makes them easier to lose and break, removes your ability to leave one behind, almost always heavier and more expensive then two separate items chosen wisely.

sounds like a gimmicky kickstarted product, I'm sure it will sell well.
