Frame packs

I have been looking for a minimal pack to use as a day hunting pack and haul a load of meat.

Currently I am using a MR pop up 38 frame with some Molle pouches and such attached, but I’m not in love. Something like the Oregon pack works rogue looks to be exactly what I would like. However looking through forums it seems their frame stays are lacking. It seems the kifaru bikini frame might be in the right direction but I am having trouble hunting one down.

Does anybody run a similar system to what I am envisioning that they could inform me how they built?

Kifaru discontinued the Bikini frame several years ago. You might be able to find one secondhand in the classifieds here.

There are many good options out there for a day pack-sized pack that can also handle a load of meat. An Exo, Hill People Gear, Kifaru, Kuiu, Mystery Ranch, Seek Outside, or Stone Glacier frame paired with a small bag could all fit the bill. Finding a frame that fits your body well is the most important factor.
