Howa Carbon Elevate - $980 shipped to your FFL (Venmo or PayPal)

Purchased just a few months ago but have now opted to buy a suppressor and so I am going to pick up something with a shorter 16-18" barrel. Rifle has approximately 60 rounds thru it. I have 50 once fired Lapua brass I will throw in for an extra $40.

Nice lightweight rifle in 308 - Weighs exactly 6lbs 4oz

-24" carbon wrapped barrel - threaded 5/8 x 24
-Carbon fiber stock - stock was very slick so I used marine weld to add some nice texturing to the forend & grip and sponge painted (see photos). Paint could be stripped if you prefer something different.
-Front recoil lug is bedded
-Upgraded stainless bottom metal

Any targets to see?
I shot one box of Hornady Precision Hunter which grouped right around 1 MOA at 100 yards. This was done during barrel break in so I was not too worried about groups. I initiated some early load development and had best results with the Hammer Hunter 154gr which were easily sub MOA (see pics). I also had sample packs and tried the 150gr Barnes TTSX which were about 1.2" and tried some 165 Sierra TGK which were 1-1.2" so slightly better than the Barnes. It is a 1:10 twist barrel so I would bet that the slightly heavier 180 class bullets would be the best. The rifle certainly showed plenty of promise and I had no concerns about accuracy in the 60 rounds I fired thru it.
