Is this cat scat?

Found this last weekend. Fresh. Wasn't there the night before. No hair in it but sure scratched out a place to deposit it.

Don't know. Cat scat is usually blocky and segmented. That's not a rule though. One of those is and one kind'a isn't. It helps to find supporting evidence. Break it open and see what it's made of. Cats in the area?

You could always do the old cheech and chong test, looks,feels,smells tastes like it must be. Sorry just had to do it.

Yes. Saw a cougar about 4 weeks ago about 1/4 mile from this. This scat just looked different and the way it was all scraped out under it. My 1st thought was maybe Bobcat.
