Is there a way to carry your rifle on the side of your pack instead of the back on the three available?

Good morning, that will likely depend on the gun itself to some extent, but all of these packs have compression straps on the sides as well as pockets on the sides that you could potentially slide the stock into and use the straps to secure it. One great thing about the Kifaru packs is that they are highly modular. There are lots of straps and pockets that you can purchase and attach. Kifaru makes a great accessory called a gun bearer that slings the rifle to your side securely for easy access. Having said that, I don’t think I would recommend the smaller bag for strapping a rifle to the side, but I think you could get it done on the larger two (hoodlum or 44mag) more readily. It is also worth mentioning that these bags don’t come with a frame, so if you don’t have a Kifaru frame, you would need to pick one up to use these.
