Kodiak island boat hunt

There's 6 of us first timers going on a boat based hunt. The plan of course is to hunt in pairs but I'm curious how you guys handle getting deer back to the boat but still increasing the odds for everyone to fill their tags (2 tags each). Do you just get first deer back to boat or beach then get back at it for the day or split up and keep hunting?

You get em back to the boat as fast as you can lol. Dragging a deer around kodiak is trolling for bears. I dont know who youre going out with, but they should come pick up your deer and shuttle it back to the main boat if you give them a call, then continue your hunt. this is the way im familiar with (2nd hand).
