Heres a couple of 'lucky' shots I have taken recently on some very unlucky animals, one a Canadian goose on the wing at 300+ yards with my suppressed Tikka .243 and the other a Tahr at 1280 yards with one of my clients Gunwerks rifles. Years of shooting goats finally paying off for me haha

While I have to agree with the camera man on the goose shot I have to ask what's that percentage of hitting that shot again? It makes me wonder what the perception of this is to others. Just because we can doesn't always translate into that we should, just food for thought.None the less impressive shooting.

Yes it is a low percentage shot do doubt, few reasons why I took it, Geese are now a pest animal in NZ and are controlled in this area by helicopter shooting and netting, and I think that shooting a flying bird with a rifle is a far lower chance of wounding than with a shotgun, you either hit and kill or miss. I waited untill they where flying directly away from me so it is alot easier than trying to hit a animal running 90 degrees to you for example(if that makes sense).
still fair enough comment
