Recommendations on Garmin Handheld GPS

I bought and used the 64s last season. I don't plan to be without it, but I don't use it alone either. I wish it was easier/more intuitive like Gaia or any smartphone program, but GPS technology has its limitations. It's also difficult at times due to the small screen, but paired with a good paper map and compass it works very well. I just like the map for perspective, especially when trying to come up with "plan b". Uses a set of AA batteries a day. Going with rechargeables this year which will cut the weight.

I am liking Gaia on my phone even better, but I'm not ready to trust it yet (the phone, not the app).
