Halloween Eve CO Buck. Rutting action was in full force. Saw seven different bucks over three days; bucks are pushing does hard.

I've had a great year so far! Killed a nice eight early season in WV then hit Ohio and killed my best buck ever only four sits into the season. Got a few more tags left so i'm still after them!

Good bucks being taken, here we have 5 straight days of the best weather a guy could ask for the first week of November.

So far Nebraska treated me well. This is my first bow buck I have pictures of prior to shooting it. They are chasing like crazy around here so rifle hunting should get interesting this weekend. I shot a turkey with my 2 year old son a couple Sundays ago with my bow but since this is whitetail forum I will not show that success. Good Luck to Everyone during a great month.

Great deer guys. Here is my CO buck this year. Corn wasn't cut so hunting was a bit rough.

My little boy got it done in Nebraska last weekend. He's 12 and this is his 2nd deer, first with his bow. We've worked all summer practicing shooting, scouting, etc. We drove out to Nebraska from Colorado for 4 weekends straight before he connected on this buck. Shooting a 35 pound Diamond Infinite Edge Pro, 335gr. Black Hawk Carnivores, and 2 blade 100 grain Muzzy Phantom. He made a perfect shot at 10 yards, and got complete penetration. Arrow buried to the fletching, and broadhead hanging out the off side when the deer ran off!

My public land Missouri whitetail. 2 mile hike in and out but was worth it for this double main beam buck. Had pictures of some really good deer but really loved this guy.

More on this in http://www.rokslide.com/forums/mule-deer/81266-co-archery-eastern-plains-help.html#post806752

DIY Colorado Public Land Whitetail

I picked up this tag off the reissue list. I really wanted to archery hunt deer this year, but I didn't want it to overlap my elk season. When a plains tag popped up, I decided to give it a shot, despite the tiny amount of public access. The dates for the plains archery season is completely different from the normal archery deer season, plus there is the chance for either whitetail or mule deer. This would allow me to extend my archery season without hunting out of state, or competing with rifle hunters.

Would have loved to see what he looked like without the two broken tines! My biggest framed buck yet.

Texas Hill Country under a feeder buck. Sure, it was an easy hunt but this poor boy usually ain’t allowed to take good deer where I️ hunt in State.

I️ took him by the CWD check station in Hondo and the TPWD guy put him at 4.5.

11-3 public land archery buck. Grunted into 35 yards. I’m pretty certain he chased a doe through a shooting lane last year. Sure glad he made it through the rest of the season. Heck of a pack out, but it was all sooo worth it!!
