Anyone have much experience actually hauling Elk or Deer quarters with a Ute? I’ve got an Umlindi (which I really like) but considering the larger Ute for hunting duties and any input is appreciated.

Thanks,
EZ

I hauled a little spike deer about a mile with mine. Had a Highlander on as the compression panel with my day gear in it. Really only about 60-70 lbs total. I was about 9 months off surgery on my feet and ankles so that was all I wanted at the time. No complaints about the pack.

Thanks Clinch. Did you have much in the main bag at the time? Just wondering if having the meat a bit away from the back is much of a real disadvantage vs a load shelf.

Nothing in the main bag. Everything was in the Highlander. Main bag was compressed.
