Hey guys,
This fall I managed to rip a hole in my asent pants on a stick as well as catch my pack on some barbed wire. What do you guys use to patch small holes? Pants rips in about 1/2" and pack is closer to 1"

Do you use just your standard iron on patch?
Thanks!

Not sure about the iron on patch. I’ve had really good results with them on cotton based jeans. Packs are usually synthetic and would melt.

Tenacious tape works well for clothing, never tried it on pack.

+1 for tenacious tape. Extra strong if applied to front and back of rip, w extra width around edges of repair.

Tenacious tape isn’t bad. I do hack job stitching when needed. I think it is called a whip stitch.

For packs, sewing a patch on can work. If you don’t want to DIY. Check your are for sail and boat top makers. Shoe repair places. They have the right tools and can patch it well.

I ripped my Ascent pants and repaired them with a whip stitch. If they split on a seam...you can use a running stitch.
