First big hunt of the year

Went out for opening weekend of archery season this last Saturday. Realized I can't hike as high and as hard with the amount of food I brought. I mostly had snack type foods for the day and a mountain house for dinner. First of all, the Beef Stew mountain house is terrible. Absolutely zero flavor to that one. If you plan on going really vertical and walking all day, granola bars and other little snack foods will not make the cut.
