Gun bearer for Kifaru

I finally decided that I had to have a gun bearer for next weekend. I took some strap material that I had laying around and mocked one up. I had the lady across the street sew it up for me. It seems to work pretty slick.

Not sure what you call that buckle but it seems to be very secure the way I have shown it to be used here.

Personally I think you need to drop the butt a few inches to bring the barrel closer to your body and get the shoulder strap off the scope and up the forend a bit more.

Its adjustable quite a bit I can drop it probably 6". This was an attempt to rig something in lieu of ordering one from kifaru and not getting it in time to hunt a week from today thru Tuesday. I'll tinker with it after while. If the strap that I have on it is not long enough I can have another sewed on. The lady across the street wanted to charge me 2 bucks for the sewing and I gave her 10. I think I can get her to add a strap and not owe her anything. I will have a sewing machine as soon as I can.

Looks pretty good! I use the Gun Bearer from Kifaru. I have it adjusted so that the scope is tucked into my armpit and the barrel is up high... Handy lil' invention!
