For my late season tag I wanted to try something different. I had a kuiu frame and icon pro 1850 as well as a kifaru frame and a Nomad 2. I liked my 1850 bag but for late season I wanted something a little bigger. I borrowed my buddies icon pro 3200 and found a simple way to attach it to my kifaru frame with buckles and straps I already had at home! I have heard stories of kuiu bags ripping under load etc, so all of the weight from hauling meat is done with the wider kifaru straps. That way the kuiu bag is completely independent and easy to remove- also handy for second trips hauling meat!
We leapfrogged our load back to the truck, and since it was just a couple buckles, I was able to leave the bag and only take meat on one trip saving some weight.
I thought it worked flawlessly! My new kifaru lite frame will be arriving later this week, so I will have to see if it will be doable on it, but here are some pics (and link to a somewhat blurry but visible video hopefully) for anyone that may be interested.
I love the comfort of load hauling with my kifaru, but love the lighter/organizational bag from kuiu...therefore I found my new combo I will be using next year as well!
