Looking for some ideas. Something that's at least semi compact and can be hauled around on the side of a pack.

Thanks in advance!

When hunting out of a blind, I've killed a lot of deer using the Primos Trigger Stick - Bipod. I've carried it some and I just bought a Trigger Stick in a monopod but haven't used it hiking yet but looks promising.

I made these shooting sticks from some old carbon arrow shafts, take-down inserts, blunt tips, and surgical tubing.

They weigh in at 3.79 ounces and I can stand for a shot with all 3 sections or kneel with two sections. Very easy to make and super light weight.

I made a bipod out of carbon shafts with aluminum arrow sections glued to an end with shock cord running through it to make a tent pole type setup. Surgical tubing at the intersection creates the pivot. The weight is uber light and it works really well.

I use my trekking poles though. I can't leave them and they are amazing when the leashes are crossed.
