Zamberlan ZWL last boots??

I'm looking at the 1014 Lynx or 1017 Smilodon. Has anyone tried any Zamberlans in the wide last? I've tried a lot of the Crispis and struck out. The 8.5 are too narrow and the 8.5 wide are huge or still too narrow depending on the boot in the Crispis. I've heard some say the Zamberlans run narrow and I've heard they run wide. No where around here to try them on. I've tried on and shipped back 8 pairs of Crispis already so I'm getting tired of that game. HELP!! Any other suggestions?

Not likely. The 1006 is built with a wider last. The 1014 is built with a more traditional (narrow) last. I tried on a pair of their 960 Guides (narrow last) before I bought the 1006s and they hurt my foot just standing in them. Way too narrow for me.

They make the two boots I'm looking at in a wide last (ZWL) that is wider then their narrow last. Just can't find anyone who has tried them out.
