Work Sharp Field Sharpener question

I like the looks of this little sharpener. I have both an original Work Sharp and a KME sharpener for home use, but something like this would be handy in the field or at the truck.

I'm curious though- the set angle is 20 degrees. However, 25 is the recommended angle for hunting and pocket knives by Work Sharp on the owners manual of the original sharpener. 20 degrees is recommended for kitchen and fillet knives. So why would Work Sharp make their field sharpener to be set at 20 degrees?

If my hunting knives are always sharpened at 25 degrees at home with either the WS belt sharpener or the KME, would it mess them up to touch them up with the 20 degree angle in the field?

I never understood why there is a difference, why not have one set standard.
